The extracurricular activities are not part of the regular school curriculum, but they are activities outside the classroom to strengthen the development of the “whole student.” It always complement the academic curriculum. Participating in school extracurricular activities is a great way to widen the students’ social circle, expand their interests, and build leadership skills. Studies show that involvement in school extracurricular activities leads to positive long-term outcomes. It can make meaningful contributions, maintain a commitment, and help the students to manage their time and priorities. The extracurricular activities will enable the students develop a sense of responsibility in their life.

School band is an excellent vehicle for teaching students a host of skills such as discipline, teamwork and the importance of following directions.

Keeping this in mind the Sacred Heart Hr Secondary School introduced School band in our school in the year 2014, March. Sacred Heart Hr Secondary School band is specifically for girl children. A select group of girl children from classes V to IX constitutes the school band. Training to the band group is provided by a professional trainer, Mr. Ravi, a well experienced person, originally from Kerala.  The instruments and the paraphernalia related to the band like
